Trades and labour are the backbone of our build process.


We build over 15,000 homes a year and are now looking to grow our directly employed trade’s teams, so if you're looking for a career in Production then you’ll be joining a business with a passion for getting things right first time and exceeding customer expectations. We're looking for quality skilled trades people that really take pride in the work they do, manage jobs effectively and build strong relationships with employees on site and customers.


Career prospects in this exciting part of the business are excellent and many of our trade workers have gone on to become Site Managers and in some cases Directors.


If this is something that interests you, we currently have opportunities for a Bricklayer.



What you will do:

  • Measuring the work area and setting out the first rows of bricks (courses) and the damp course

  • Checking that courses are straight and level

  • Read and interpret working drawings

  • Cut and trim bricks using hammers or chisels or masonry saws and other hand and power tools

  • Restoring, cleaning or painting existing brick structures

  • Working in line with Taylor Wimpey HSE Procedures and in a safe environment

  • Ability to solve problems with the use of various materials and methods

  • Travel to, and work from different Taylor Wimpey construction sites


What you will have:

  • CSCS Card holder

  • NVQ relevant to role

  • Self-motivated and have good communication skills

  • High standard of work quality, skill and technique

  • Ability to travel to various Taylor Wimpey sites at short notice. Please note that some sites can be in remote locations not well served by public transport.
